DarkLinkStudios is a technical blog that covers the basic principles behind a lot of complicated things. You won’t find exhaustive lists or textbook boredom, but you will find a lot of tips, guides and tutorials covering a range of different technologies, from Linux and Blackberries to port-forwarding and website trickery.
//Why?
When I was learning Linux I found that the guides online were either too simple or horribly lengthy, and if I asked questions on a forum I’d get berated by elitist Unix geeks for being an idiot. DLS aims to solve that.
//Who?
My name is Hendo. I cut my teeth in hardware support, paid my dues as a server admin and mixed my metaphors while my ass hung in the noose of website management. I’ve worked for TV studios, media houses and internet startups, and have generally spent the last ten years listening to Slayer in server rooms and fixing anything with a chip in it.
Now I pursue lofty dreams of writing and content production, but until my landlord will accept magic beans and heavy metal songs in lieu of rent I have to do regular freelance stints in media support and Linux spellcasting. In my spare time I make stuff, hack stuff and Frankenstein a bunch of old crap together to make something awesome.
